Please Note: If this message was already received by you, then please
disregard this one. My e-mail server did not acknowledge that it was sent
successfully the first time, so I've sent it a second time just to make sure
it did go out.....

Hi,
I work for a small 'niche' insurance company located in Burbank. We
recently made the decision to migrate to Linux and are currently looking for
a person who has Linux loading and configuration experience and who would be
interested in working with us to load and configure four new servers we will
be acquiring in the next two weeks. This is a short-term opportunity and
the right person will bill us directly for their services performed. We
would also like to consider using them down the road on an as-needed basis,
if they clearly demonstrate their proven expertise with Linux. I've posted
this opportunity on Guru.com and thought I'd share it with the local Linux
User Groups in the greater Los Angeles area, in case there might be any
interest amongst your members.

If you are so inclined, please post the opportunity below for your members,
and if anyone is interested, they can contact me directly at: 818-565-5512,
and ask for me, Robert Riddick, VP Information Systems, and I'll be glad to
discuss the opportunity with them.

If you can't post this for your members then would you let me know the best
way to get this information passed on to them so that those who might be
interested might be able to respond? Either way, thanks for your
consideration and

Warmest Regards,

Robert Riddick

**************************** OPPORTUNITY
***********************************

I'm looking for someone who can assist our guy here with configuring four
Linux servers we are about to acquire. The person we are looking for should
be well-versed in how to load and configure Red Hat Enterprise version on
each server according to the needs each server will be used for, i.e.,
e-mail server, development server, production server, web server.

This person should have excellent English-speaking verbal skills and should
be able to instruct our guy here on how to replicate what they did in
configuring the servers after the guru has left.

We will be using Linux to support PHP-developed applications, on a MySQL
database and Apache server, i.e., a fairly typical LAMP environment.

We would like to have this person available to do the install of the first
server (scheduled to arrive here on or after Sept. 9, 2005) as soon as the
first server has arrived. We don't anticipate it will take more than two
or three days max to complete the install.

We are a small specialty insurance company located in Burbank, California,
near Bob Hope Airport. Rates are commensurate with your skills.

If you are the guru that can do this and would like to be considered for the
rest of the servers we will be acquiring and installing in the next 30 days,
please contact me at 818-565-5512 and ask for me, Robert Riddick, or e-mail
me at pls2mecha at yahoo.com. If you call our offices, please let the operator
know that you are calling in regards to the Linux opportunity. Thanks for
your attention to this posting.
